Poster Paper Preparation Instructions
Final Deadline Wednesday, 20 October, 2004

To prepare the camera ready of your poster paper, please follow the instructions in the CCNC 05 web site under "Author Information" http://www.ieee-ccnc.org/2005/author.html. Your submission will not be approved before you complete your registration. Your paper will be presented as a poster of slides during the poster session. Please follow the guidelines below to prepare your poster.

Poster Slides Preparation Instructions
The Poster Instructions: This would be a power point, Postscript or PDF of the poster material described as follows. A poster typically consists of maximum 12 A4 (or 8.5in x11in) sheets of paper. The poster papers are copies of colored and visually appealing overheads that provide a concise description of your research project. You may choose a different paper size as long as the total size does not exceed the equivalent 12 A4. You may also orient your poster horizontally or vertically, as you wish. More importantly, you should prepare the best material (visually appealing and succinct) that effectively communicates your research problem, techniques, experience and results of your work.

1.) Author Instructions and Paper Submission

  • You will need this ID to access instructions, templates, and to create your secure submission account.
  • Be sure to read all instructions before submitting your final paper.
  • For regular papers: Page limit is six (6) pages
  • Poster papers should submit an extended version of their abstract up to three pages.

2.) Registration online and PDF form

NEW IEEE/COMSOC POLICY: all accepted CCNC 2005 technical paper presenters must register at the FULL rate. For authors presenting multiple papers, one FULL registration is valid for up to three papers.

- Authors are required to submit a 9 digit reference ID number in order to submit their paper.

3.) Hotel Reservations CCNC 2005 will be held at the Caesar's Palace

Note: In order to get a great deal on the rate with our host hotel, the Caesar's Palace, we are obligated to fill that block of rooms first. Please make every "best effort" to sell out our block at this hotel before booking at another hotel. Additional fees will be assessed on the association if we fall below the number of rooms we committed, so help us sell out the host hotel. We truly appreciate your assistance with helping the IEEE Communications Society.

  • W-8 Form (this form is required only if you receive a grant)

4.) Suggestions for Speakers - PDF

DEMO SESSION
Authors MUST submit their papers through the EDAS web site, together with a short abstract (approximately 150 words) in the EDAS web site form. Please note that the potential authors should create their own accounts in the EDAS web site before submitting paper(s). Submitted papers are acceptable in PDF format only.

Proposals for demonstrations of research prototypes are invited. Please submit a demo description and requirements needed for your demonstration as well as an URL providing more information on the demo. Demo proposals should be submitted directly to the Poster/Demo Chair (ehabATcs.depaul.edu).

Posters & Demos will be on display 4-5 January all day. A two-hour time-slot will be assigned during the conference for presentation.

STUDENT GRANTS
A limited number of Student Travel Grants are available to those student authors who will be presenting papers and are unable to obtain funding to attend the symposium. The form will be available in the author kit.

Note: Every paper accepted for CCNC 2005 must have attached to it at least one registration at the full member/nonmember rate. Thus, for a manuscript for which all authors are students, one student author will be required to register at the full registration rate. For manuscripts where at least one author is already registered at the full rate, this fulfills the obligation for up to four papers where all the other authors are students.

BEST PAPER AWARD
There will be a Best Paper Award for the best-submitted paper. Potential candidates for awards will be identified during the normal review process. A special independent Awards Committee will be formed to evaluate the candidate papers together with their presentations and to select the award winners. The Awards Committee has the right to give the award to one paper, not to give an award, or to split the award among several papers.
