SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Proposals for tutorials on subjects related to the conference's key areas (see also the Call for Papers) should be submitted electronically to the Tutorial Chair: Guenter Schaefer before the submission deadline of August 30, 2004.
The preferred format is PDF, but proposals in the form of plain text, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Powerpoint, or Postscript will also be accepted. When preparing your proposal, please use the tutorial form linked from this page in Microsoft Word or PDF format (the PDF form is provided as a guideline for instructors who prefer other word-processing software).
REVIEW PROCESS
Tutorial proposals will be evaluated on the basis of their estimated benefit for prospective participants and on their fit within the tutorials program as a whole. Factors to be considered include: relevance, timeliness, importance, and audience appeal; suitability for presentation in a half-day format; and past experience and qualifications of the instructors. Selection is also based on the overall distribution of topics, expected attendance, and specialties of the intended audiences. Thus, not all tutorials of technical merit can be accommodated within the tutorials program.
